I recently came across a project called CursorCamp Sandbox (cursorcamp-sandbox) that showcases exactly this: a zero-dependency interactive world running entirely in the browser, built without any game engines or special frameworks. It made me wonder what's possible if more research groups adopted this kind of approach for visualizing their work or creating interactive lab tours for prospective students like Penelope and Emily.

penelope and emily starting in the lab back in 2019 seems like forever ago since this post was updated in 2025. i usually just spend my downtime playing unblocked games on my laptop but reading about these research projects makes me want to be more productive. hope they both had a great experience with the builab team over the years.
